POD users (Twister amps or Doc maybe?)

I'm thinking of getting one and would like to know the advantages/disadvantages between the POD 2.0, 2.3 & XT. I'm just looking for something to try to record some direct stuff on the PC w/. Is the XT worth all the extra money or are the 2.x just about as good for a lot less? I'm also looking for input on ease of use.

Also, does anybody have any experience with the guitar port and how it would compare to the POD series? Thanks a lot. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

we recorded our entire album with the pod 2.0 you can listen to a song from it on our website. use the link below in signature.

The XT has a lot more effects, amps models and tweakability than the 2.0. It also used Line6's new amp modeling technology.

I have a vetta and POD 2.0 and find I like sound I get out of both. If you are looking to just try something out I would get POD 2.0 ( used ) and go from there. If you really dig it you can get most of your money back out of a POD 2.0 and move up.

Pod 2.3? I had the POD 2.0 very great unit, sold it cause I stopped using it, it sold on ebay to a band who needed it to record their cd, they said it was very helpfull with making their cd.

I think the 2.3 is just added software to the 2.0.

I also forgot to mention that I used my 2.0 as a preamp into a peavey 50/50 poweramp, for about 6 months and it was pretty awesome. My fav amp was probably the soldano xp77 preamp I believe it was.
