Amp Electronics

Does anybody know where to find info on how amps work and how they can be tweaked? i have a very good knowledge of electronics in general (im an auto mechanic) but when it comes to stereo/amps electronics, im lost. are there any good sites/posts/books around that explains what each circuit does, how it does it, what using different components will do, and tips on how to modify the circuits, major differences between different mfrs. I wanna know everything. Basically im looking for an amp bible. Thanks.
