I have a question, How do you go about re-wiring a cab with 4x12 that is rated at 16 ohms into say 4 ohms, can it be done? and if so can someone help me with this?

I belive if the four speakers are wired in series this is 4 ohms.
A 4x12 that's rated at 16 ohms would not have 8 ohm speakers!!

Re: Cab Ohm question
If you have 4 speakers either 4 or 16 Ohm's each, you can wire it either for 4 or 16 ohm. The total Ohms for the cab can be 1/4 or the same as any individual speaker, or 4 times.
4 x 4 Ohm speakers can be wired 1, 4 or 16 Ohms
4 x 8 Ohm speakers can be wired 2, 8 or 32 Ohms
4 x 16 Ohm speakers can be wired 4, 16 or 64 Ohms
