  • Dreamland Rebel or Twisteramps

I am definitely jonesin for a Mesa .50 cal combo with the EL-84s and the only one that I have been able to find does not have the EQ. Is this a must? Would I be able to do the same thing with a Boss GE-7?

I would really like to purchase this one because it is local and I could get it in my basement under the wife's radar.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">GE7 would sound better ran through the fx loop - you'll likely get a little more hiss with it, however. Also, the built in 5band is footswitchable.

mine does have the eq, but honestly i barely ever use it. but then again i do not run anything through the effects loop. i just turn off the presence and put the reverb on 2 or 3. and i love it to death. mine is the head version and i run it through a 2x12 verticle recto cab.

its really up to you. having the eq makes the whole thing more versitile. but it isn't necesary.
