Hello,
The studio we practice in is considering selling their JCM 800 half stack. It has been re-wired for 75 watt and 100 watt channels (so I'm told). The head is out at a shop getting a once-over and will have new tubes installed. I don't know the year (I'm sure the owner knows, have to ask) but I suspect its from the early 80's.
The very appealing part is that its tubes.
Marshall sells a combo called the for around $800.
My question is this:
Go for the JCM 800 (20 year)head and bottom?
or
Go for the new (comes with built in chorus/delay, delay, chorus, flange, 2 channels and new in technology.)MG100HDFX ?
Thanks in advance,John
