Torres Kit or Ampeg V2

Trying to decide between this:

Torres Dual Marshall Kit

Or this..

Ampeg V2

I've had the Ampeg before, when I was like 17, I liked the tone with the ADA pre-amp.

However this Torres intrigues me.

Hmmm.. just gone through a few reviews that
i could find on the web.

Apparently most of them feel the amps are sub-par.

Think I've got my answer already.

I found a number of complaints regarding the Dual Marshall and the Super Texan.

Most thought the overall tone to be average, apparently the clean channel is good, but alot of problems with the overdrive.

The biggest complaints seem to be about problems and customer service.

Many.. (even the ones who liked the amp) felt that Dan (The owner) was very nice and helpfull up until you handed him the money.

More than 1 said he was rude and defensive once they pointed out problems.

I have no idea how true any of this is, as I never dealt with them.. but I found enough negatives to convince me NOT to buy.

I've had Dan Torres' shop set up many of my guitars but have never played his amps. He seemed like a nice guy and I spoke with him many times. I've read the HC reviews about him as well. His amps just don't sound like something I'd buy.
