I would be all over a fireball, except teh fact that the clean and hi-gain channels share a all their tone controls. So i fyou want pristine clean, you have to scrifice yoru death metal tone, and vice versa. I like the extremes for both. none of htat dirty clean crap...and none of that wussy distortion crap.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's not really like that. If you keep the Gain at about 12:00 -1:00 that gain is perfect for extreme tones and when you switch to the clean channel at that setting's it a very nice clean.
really? I'd really like to give one a try....but, yeah...not gonna happen anytime soon.
here's the big question though. Does the 60 watt fireball have enough juice to balance with a 5150 that has its pregain at 5.5 and the postgain at 5? If so....I'd be happy to suggest it to my brother..who is actually saving up for a powerball.
A Fireball for $799. JCM800 for $599.
Between the two, get the Engl. I've read nothing but good reviews on it. In fact, I'm saving money right now to buy one next year. That's a killer deal BTW.
