I know you probably dont wanna hear this, but Behringers V-amp is a great low cost alternative(puts on asbestas undies and prepares for flamage). [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

If you want the functionality REALLY CHEAP and you have a computer, you can do what I did. Buy the OLP/Guitar Port starter pack from Music123 for $199. When you get the package, load up the latest Guitar Port software from the Line 6 website and you've got a harddrive full of tasty tones... Then, sell the OLP guitar for $150 and you're laughing - a great amp-modeling practice/recording kit for $50! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

i just wanted to know where i can get one new for under $399.
as for the vamp2, i thought the sounds were a little lacking compared to the pod xt, however, it is quite the bargain.
how about the yamaha magic stomp, anyone tried these?

you can search on bizrate.com to see a comparison of prices. I have an XT an I love it. I just saw Krisuin a little while ago and he used a POD pro.
