difference between Herbert and VH4

Can anyone tell me the difference between the two Diezels?
I`m not interested in cleans, versatillity, etc....just interested how do they differ in high gain department.

Herbert's Bright , while the Vh4 is dark , i own a herbert and its brighter and to me , and higher gain.
