Hi,
I'm new to the board and wanted to see if anyone here uses the Triamp and what are their impressions of it pro and con?

Thanks,
Richard

Re: Hughes-Kettner

so i've played the triamp lately thru a h&k cab with 4 vintage 30's

first try : a luthier made warlock copy ( very light body possibly basswood)
and emg 81 in the bridge :
channel red - whoaaa mid's maxed bass and treble 0.75 and it was just so heavy i was really shocked.

real cool amp for hi gain

clean on emg's - quite nice as for emg's

then the guy played it with a paf pickup in the bridge and the clean was really beautiful (especcially on coil split ) and the distortion on red was also very cool

I can second that...
I play my triamp for years now and was always satisfied. very high quality built and the sound is awesome.
great cleans, great reverb, and first class high gain.
I only wish the reverb was footswitchable or the knob was on the front at least, but well...

I play it in C, D and E with different kinds of PUs, passive and active and it sounds really awesome.

I'd like to try out one of those TRIAMP-cabs one day with the greenbacks in it...
someone tested these?
