I was always more of an older Marshall fan, even the early '90s Valvestates, really dug that sound, but I recently got a Mesa/Boogie F-30 and am really getting into the Mesa sound a lot now.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
for me... it's a Triple XXX. haven't bought it yet. but i played one for a chunk 'o time the other day. Only thing is, i wanna' try pumpin' it through a Laney 4x12 angled w/ an RR1 plugged in.
i also like;
rectifiers & mark series, line 6 stuff, fender roc pro 1000 head. (the cheapest good sounding head) a lot of peavey stuff, marshalls, most of the boutique amp co.'s, VHT, Slodano, the list can go on and on.

Peavey products are quickly becoming my favorites. They are priced great and give you great tone. When I was buying another amp I was deciding between a used Marshall or Mesa...then the XXX came out and for the price and tone I couldn't turn it down. It shines equally as well as both those amps IMO.
I've also heard some excellent 5150's as well.
Peavey stuff dont' come setup great out of the box but when you tweak em with a re-bias and new tubes they really scream.
