Monster Signal Flow?

Hey, I recently bought some new Monster cables, and I noticed that the instrument, and rack cables both have a large white arrow and say "signal flow" on them. The speaker cables do not, however, so I was wondering if that means it's safe to plug in the cables either way?

from what i've seen, i think it might invert the phase. but i'm not sure. i did notice a slight volume difference though.
