Line6 acting crazy

My friend has a line6 flextoneIIXL and when ever you turn the volume to 4 or 5 it starts making a "warbly" sound kinda sounds like its gargling (SP?) any ideas what this could be? the amp sounds great at a low volume but when he wants to use it for practicing with a band he trys to show off saying how much it costs him and about all the settings but when it comes to playing that noise comes out and its pure embarrassment [img]images/icons/blush.gif[/img]

If it is an older model with the stock Line 6 speakers that is your problem. They suck at volume above 5. The later models all came with Celestions which totally corrected the problem. It was so bad that in the beginning Line 6 was actually swapping out the speakers at no charge. Then they went to doing it at their cost. I am sure you need to replace them. Make sure the cabinet modeling is off too. That will cause the speakers to fart above 5.
