Got my Nomad 45 2x12 combo new for $1000 (if I remeber correctly). Pretty good all around. Good clean, classic rock tones, Decent hard rock tones. Wont do a Rectifier tone, but to me that aint a bad thing.

Cool, I am acually considering your amp. Do you know what are the differences between those mesa amps? ex.F series, Mark, Nomad, Roadking, rectifier

        I've got an F-30 that I love!! http://www.jcfonline.com/ubb/noncgi/...;f=12;t=001494

Go to www.mesaboogie.com to get some better descriptions of their amps.

Also, check out the Mesa forum and maybe someone can help you with the differences. That board doesn't seem to have much activity on it, but it's still kinda cool. http://pub61.ezboard.com/bmesaboogieampforum77319

mark series are great to, maybe you can get secondhand mkIIc, mkIII or mkIV off the bay. more the classic boogie tone, but these guys can be pretty much pushed to a metal tone as well. John Petrucci used the mkIIc heads a long time. The mkIII and mkIV are even more powerfull (gainwise).

I prefer the marks over all the boogie amps available. (I have a mesa quad preamp with a mesa 50/50 poweramp and this sounds great: the quad should be seperated mkIIc and mkIII preamps in one box, which is correct to my ears)

I really liked the F class amps. For both the price and sound. They are simple, but really sound awesome. I just got an F-50 and it crushes, sounds mostly like my old studio.22 and alot like the DC series.
