Re: Need to swap JCM 800 for small amp, suggestions?
Geez, I was only kidding.
I have a Mesa .22+ on the way, I will report back. I also have in my posession a Peavey Classic 30 that I stupidly bought new. Awesome little amp for low volumes, and can be had on the bay for peanuts.
Re: Need to swap JCM 800 for small amp, suggestions?
Definitely go with Line 6. The Flextone series is great, and the new Spiders are really something else. Stay away from anything with tubes for the sake of getting "saturated" tone at low volumes.
Re: Need to swap JCM 800 for small amp, suggestions?
thanks for ideas!
Line6 looks good so far. Only thing with he mesa boogie is = isnt it just like the JCM 800... a loud valve amp that needs cranking? Or are they lower output?
Re: Need to swap JCM 800 for small amp, suggestions?
I've always wanted to check out a Carvin SX series, specifically the newer SX300. I've heard nothing but good things about them. They've got reverb and a few other effects built in, too!
