SWR makes good stuff...I can't remember the name of the series off hand but I remember liking them when I tried 'em out. Another great bass head (I know thats not what you're looking for) for a great price is the Ampeg B2R.

Laney bass amps
I know there was a Laney thread recently, but no one was discussing their bass amps.
I'm considering a Laney Richter combo (probably the 300 watt version) as my next amp. According to a review I read, it's super powerful, especially for the size and price. Does anyone have any experience with Laney's bass products?
Also, do you have any recommendations for a bass amp (preferrably a combo) that is high-powered, versatile and affordable? -

Yup. SWR and Ampeg both have great stuff. A lot of their amps are a bit pricey, though, so I was considering smaller-name alternatives. Thanks for responding. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]Comment
