Looking for that Shawn Lane tone......

Hey, I am hoping you all can recommend an amp or two that will produce the singing tone of Shawn Lane on Powers of Ten. I have read that he used an old Westbury w-20 pedal and Holmes amplifier. I also know he used Bob Gjika head but those are WICKEDLY expensive. Any suggestions? I was thinking of a bassman with a good pedal?? Ideas anyone??
