If you get it for $199, I say hell ya!! It will do anything up to heavy metal with no pedal, any heavier, you will nead a distortion pedal, but they are very good amps and will power a 4x12 no problem. Jack. -

Well, he means thrash, speedmetal, death metal, black metal. Heavy metal is Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Van Halen etc...
It says $199 doesn't meet the reserve though. If you went much higher than that I'd think of a Peavey Ultra instead. You can get them for $300 on Ebay regularly, and they're a lot like the XXX amp, just eq'ed not as dark. The Crate would be good for say $250 shipped.Ron is the MAN!!!!Comment
