Well, really, it depends. Some of the Velocity power amps I think are made to be more transparent than others. The Velocity 100 Mordor mentions there did seem transparent to me. However, the old Velocity 300 and the newer Velocity 250, from everything I've heard, were voiced more to color the sound. Just going off of what I've been told by people who owned them. The 300, they said, was more pronounced in the highs and lows (or just less pronounced in the midrange), and the 250 was more about regular amp type midrange. Then, there was the Velocity Valve preamp, which I never heard much about, but must assume it was tube-based hehehe.
