Note: I know I am an idiot, so don't bother telling me that.
Situation: I rearranged my room yesterday and couldn't hook up my gear where I needed it to. So I got a power strip and put my combo amp, g-major, and floorboard on it. Note: I played this huge show in the auditorium on my school with everyone on a powerswitch, it was fine.
So I go to turn on my amp, and then my g-major. There is this HUGE HUGE HUGE high pitched loud squeal out of my amp. (The volume was not high at all) It hurt my ears, they feel weird now. It was really really like the worst pinch harmonic you could ever hear type of thing.
So, what is going on? I am pretty sure I should get a power coniditioner. What that cure this? I need something, because I am too scared to turn on my amp now.
Also, is leaving your amp plugged in bad? I don't see why if you have in on an external switch that breaks the curcuit outside the amp itself.
PLEASE HELP ME!
PS: If I do need a power conditioner, which one should I get.
