I have a newer model Single Recto. I have Mesa EL-34's in it, and it gives me a nice, midrangey crunch that kicks ass!...most of the time. Somedays is seems to have a farty resonance when I palm mute, and I can't seem to tweak it out. Other times it's fine, or I'm at least able to get rid of it. We jam in the singer/guitarist's basement, which probably has a good temperature/humidity swing. Are tube amps that sensitive to this?

i don't have the amp here, but i'll try to remember...rectifier, highs 1:30, mids 7:00, lows 1:30, presence off, gain 1:00-2:00...hope that makes sense.Comment

well try putting it on diode rectified, modern hi gain, bass 10, mid 10, treb 0 and pres 0. then turn it up real real loud.
