If your amp has two speaker outs, it will use both sets of speakers. If you only have one speaker out, you have to choose.

Should I have said, "his" instead of "it's"???
's means possessive doesn't it?

No no no. Very very common error.

It's = it is (or it has).

For possessive you use "its"

Now spread the word

Ok, feed me with a spoon here, I'm a little confused. I need a little clarification...If I set my 212 combo on top of a 212 cabinet, will I be playing through 2 12's or 4 12's??? If it bypasses its own speakers, then what's the point? If I put it on top of a 412, then I would only be adding two speakers...right???

Does your combo have 2 line outs? Mine does (JCM800 1x12 combo). If so (one will be used already, by the speakers in the combo of course), you run a speaker cable from the open line out to the cab (making sure the ohm/impedance thing is correct). Then all 4 speakers will be blazin'!

Let me know if you want me to take a pic of my amp (to make it more clear).

I have a line out and four ext. speaker outs, left and right, 4 ohm and 8 ohm.
