  • Question regarding noise reduction.

Hi Folks, I was hoping someone can shed some light on a delimea I'm having.

I have a peavey tripl-x combo and usually play a Dinky or a KV. I'm really liking plugging straight into the amp and using the crunch channel of the triple-x, but at higher volume settings it has some noise and alot of feedback. Would a noise gate like the Hush Super-C cure this?? Or is the noise just something you have to live with? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your time.

The noise gate should get rid of the feedback, but there will be inherant noise while you have the gain channel on, no matter what you do.

Keep in mind the louder you play, the less gain you need. Try dropping the gain.
