Can you bypass the pre amp section and just use the effects without coloring you signal too much?

If not, has anyone used the Multivalve and if so how is it?

    Thanks in advance...

I've never tried this. You can bypass the preamp section of the Voodu, but I think you'd have some issues matching the line level of your effects loop to the instrument level input of the Voodu.

At one time, I was thinking about getting an Engl 530 pre because it has an instrument level out. That way I could have chained it with the Voodu. Never got around to it, though.

The preamp is the best part of that thing! The effects are secondary.

You can't really get the preamp out of it though, it was designed a preamp first and then effects as an afterthought it seems. Buy, an intellifex, they're cheap, except they don't have phase effects, speaker emulator or EQ....
