  • Help needed

I currently own a Marshall jtm60 combo and the thing is broken more than it works so I was thinkking of hooking up a solid stste head to the cab. will this work?
If this does work I was thinking of a Peavey xxl or a line 6 spider head I play metal so I need a high gain amp and the cost is an issue. What do you amp guru's recommend? Looking forward to you're answers thanx

    Re: Help needed

XXLs can be had for $250 to $300 if you are patient and has to be the most bang for the buck going right now.
I don't know the modeling stuff, so...someone will be along shortly with some suggestions.

      Re: Help needed

It will work. If the Marshall has 2 speakers in it you can wire them so that the Line 6 head will operate in true stereo. If it is just 1 speaker you will have no problem either. Just hardwire the existing speakers into a new output jack (or Jacks) on the back of the Marshall and plug the new amp into them. Done. I can help you if you need specifics. Let me know if you need more details.
