what do you guys think of the 5150 combo?

im thinking of picking one up locally for $400

for rock/metal

i dont have the money i would like to have to buy a real nice amp but im think i will just get this to play with for a while before i sell it

what do you guys think of these?

Good points:
$400.00 is a nice price for a clean combo.
They sound fantastic and are very very loud.
Mucho gain!!
Bad points:
Incredibly heavy (over 80lbs)
If it is a normal 5150 it has a crummy lifeless clean channel.
Doesn't have the greatest effects loop.

I've had the combo, didn't it had a enhanced clean channel besides the head? I liked it alot a first, but changed for a recto later on [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] Good price you got IMO.

The 5150's are great amps. Have you played the combo yet? The combo is sounds quite a bit different than the head so if your used to what the head sounds like play the combo before you buy it. I didn't care for the combo myself. I love the 5150 heads.
