Hey guys.
Ive got a 120 watt crate blue voodoo full stack. The only reason ive got the full stack is because the music store wanted to get rid of it and i got it at a killer price, so i was lucky. So anyways. Ive had it for around 8 months now. It came factory with four 6L6 groove tubes and four 12ax7's. But im curious now to what other sounds id be able to get by changing tubes or doing any other mods to the amp. I play metal guitar and would also like a tone that can double as a good rhythm and a good lead, since the blue voodoo only has one distortion channel, and i dont like using distortion pedals, since they sound too fake for my tastes. Ive got a rr-1 with emg's and a slsmg with dimarzio super distortion in the bridge and a duncan screamin demon in the neck. Now that youve got an idea of my gear and my target sound, does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks dudes.
