No more amp sims

Hi guys,
I need some suggestion for my home playing.I'm tired of my pod 2.0,sounds are good but I can take anymore the blanket effect and I don't want to play it thru my new hifi loudspeakers.I'll stick back to my good old peavey audition 110!Now I need some good and cheap multifx pedalboard to put in front of it.I don't need tons of amp simulations,just a couple of good distortions and a good clean with decent effects.What should I get?Tnx!

It will be tough to find something better than the POD. How about a J-Station or a V-Amp2? Just ditch the entire thing and get a Roland Cube 30.
You will be friggin shocked and stunned at the tones this thing produces.
