• Marshall JTM Combo Question

One of my local pawnshops has a JTM50 combo amp for sale at 399.00 dollars. Anyone familiar with these models. It seems in good condition, but is missing its footswitch. What are these amps worth? Are they plexi type combos? Any help would be appreciated.

Chasbo, I would definitely offer him like say $300 cash, I always lowball

The JTM combos are cool, they have a very "Plexi-like" sound to them IMHO, but are most definitely not "plexi-type", nothing is handwired, only one tube in there, and she's just a lil' baby

300 was what I was thinking it was worth especially without the footswitch. Gonna have to go play some hardball in there. Thanks for the info.

Re: Marshall JTM Combo Question

I have a JTM612 combo. It is a 60 watt with 1 12"
(replaced original with Celestion Vintage 30).
Tubes are 2 EL34 with 4 12Ax7 (ECC83). Nice clean
channel that breaks up if you turn the gain up on it. Dirty channel has nice classic rock tones and
some metal capability but not that great for it.
I also have the matching 1 12 extension cab also
with Celestion Vintage 30 in it. Anyway back to
your pricing question I see them sell on EBAY for
375-400 range. I have owned mine for 7 years no problems. Retubed it twice.
