  • ZOOM 9002

    Hey wise and mighty JCFer's...

I have an old Zoom 9002 effects processor (little strap mountable bugger) that died on me a few years back -- no output -- I was wondering if anybody here was familiar with this thing and possibly be able to steer me into a direction to fix it -- any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem with mine. It worked one day and the next it just stopped. Zoom said they could take a look at it and fix it but the cost would have been about as much as finding one on eBay. I tossed mine finally.

That's what I've heard -- I got a Boss GT6 to replace the gap it had left my set up -- but that thing was just so damn handy and I was hoping to run across someone who has had the same trouble and figured out a way to fix it themselves -- oh well, I'll keep my fingers crossed and maybe I'll run into somebody some day.

This thread made me realize I don't have anything to travel with anymore. The Zoom I had did a tour overseas with me and was a constant road companion. I getting ready to move and will be without an amp for a month. I need to get something new. The Zoom 9003 looks promising.

No way! What unit were you with? I was on the Sai Pan from October 91 through April 92 with 1/8. I can't remember what MEU we were.

Sorry -- I was a squid shipmate... lol USS America CV-66 -- haze gray and underway. Airdale, V2 Division, Bow catapults -- hungry, dirty and tired.

My hats off to ground troops though -- your ocean was sand, ugh -- just the thought of that much beach with no bikini's... lol.
