Went to GC on Sunday tried a Duoverb head out for 30 mins and liked it (played it thru the inexpense Spider II cab). Anybody have the head or combo and care to coment on it?

I had the combo for a SHORT time. I was expecting alot more from it. It was a very noisy amp, and the main amp model I use, The Modern High Gain (Soldano model), didn't sound much like it did on the Flextone. Neither did the Marshall JCM 800 model. Being those are the amp models I used the most, I didn't care much for it.
By the time I got done buying a few pedals to make it sound as good as my Flextone did (Boss Super Overdrive, Dano Chorus, Dano Delay, Boss Noise Suppressor), I'd spent more on it than a Flextone would have cost, so I returned it and bought the Flex.
It sounded pretty "organic" though - very "real" in an amp sense. Moreso than the Flextone. I still like the Flextone better.
