I'm thinking about going down to GC and trading in my mint 3 channel Dual Recto for a used Mark IV head...my concerns are that the guys in GC are gonna try to screw me and they're going to inflate the price of the used Mark IV. Suggestions?

Sell your amp outright, then go and talk a cash deal. You'll do much better that way.
