  • Kitty Hawk M1 Tube Head

Has anyone here ever seen one, let alone heard one? I picked one up pretty cheap (currently being shipped) and was curious how they sound. I've read the horror stories of their reliability. I actually owned a Kitty Hawk Quattro preamp and it was pretty cool. I haven't ran a head for a long time so it should be interesting.

    Thanks.

Hi> I bot a Kittyhawk head a few years ago. I think it was like yours. I never got it fired up, but I do remember it had a printed curcuit board and one solder line was open going to the power tubes. If anything, they may not hold up as well as hard wired amps. Check that board before you plug it in.

Don't give up hope. It has all kinds of bells and whistles. I think it was a German answer to the Mesa line. The tubes alone may be worth the price of admission.
