Yesterday evenig, when I came back from work, as usual, I heated my tubes, opened my RR hard shell case, straped & hanged the axe, plug te cable & hit the power switch to do some warm up.
Till now nothing unusual.
Cople o minutes latter my mother came in & said "come to the kitchen, I made some tea (It´s a cold winter by now).
OK, I go, I sayed. Power Off, Left the std by switch ON.
Was haveing my tea & talking to mother when I realised "aaahhhh, Do You smell That?" "smels like something burnt, like......." "Holy shit! I lef the amp in std by".
When came back to the room, I saw a cream smoke coutain ascending from my beloved home made SLO Power transformer.
I couldn´t speak for a couple o minutes. Felt really bad. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]
I handwired the output tranny myself, seems like I should have done the same with this one.
