Friend of mine use to have a Rivera with the Ninja boost circuit/ mega footswitch. Nice sounding amp..I think it was the M-100. This was about 7-8 years ago, so I do not recall exactly. He went thru gear like water and I was only in town every so often.
Alot of guys like their Rivera's tho.

My Rivera is based off of the M series which means it has a lot of the same features. They are fantastic amps and are my all time favorites.

A bunch of small clubs in Yonkers around Yonkers Ave, and near the Cross County Shopping Center.
I can't remember many of the names. I am just a hired gun in that band. Actually, most of the members are. We get emailed approx a 35 song set list and where and when to be around 1 month or sooner before the gig. We get together and kick major ass. One band is called Vandelism 3. I play lead guitar and sing a bit in that one. The other is Leonard & the Biscuits. It is a southern rock band and I play mainly bass and a little guitar.
It is REALLY fun.

I have the gain dimed out and if I roll the volume down on my guitar I can get the semi-clean and if I dime it out I get the heavy rhythm.
How do I get a solo boost?

There are only 2 ways that I know of:
1. Have an effects loop installed and put a preamp in the loop.
2. Use the amp clean and rely on stomp boxes for distortion and boost.
Is there another way?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Try an eq with a slight mid boost, that oughtta do the trick.
You also cannot miss with the RC booster.

Good point Darin. I have several amps. The Flextone HD is my main gigging amp. I still have 2 of them. One is at my rehearsal studio and one is at home in mothballs! I have 16 patches (channels)set up and use them all. I use a Roland Cube 30 (great amp) for practice at home and I have been using the Peavey Transchorus 3 channel amp for lessons. It is the amp my students use. It gets everything from Fender crystal clean to total metal. I bought the Soldano mainly because I never owned one and I have a kick ass speaker cabinet for it. I actually bought it on a whim. You know how that goes I am sure!! I am in 2 bands at the moment. My main band requires the Flextone HD because it is a cover band doing many different 80's metal songs requiring many different sounds. The band in NY that I gig with on occasion does late 70's early 80's rock and I figured that the Soldano would be perfect because I am the only guitar player and the tone doesn't vary much. I do need solo boost though. I am gonna check and see about having an effectsloop installed or another master volume. I am looking to replace the Peavey transchorus with something smaller because my rehearsal/lesson studio is starting to fill up. I am currently looking at maybe getting a Studio 22 to replace the Peavey if I sell it.
