i use sonar, i like it.

i heard Cubase (whatever the new one is) is supposed to be the most stable windows based recording software available at the moment.

      PC Recording software

Hey guys, I want to start recording on my PC. My main PC is running Win XP Pro and has a Soundblaster Audigy card in it. It is a dual processor PC running 2 1800+ processors.
I would like to get something that has drum tracks already in it. I would like to plug in my midi GM synth so that I could do bass and keyboard tracks. I will be using my Line 6 or my Roladn Cube 30 for recording guitar tracks most of the time. What software program do you recommend? I was looking at Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 2 and it looked pretty cool. I also have a laptop that has a program called Fruity Loops in it. It looks like a multitrack recording program.

Well, I got Cool Edit 2.0 and you are correct. It is fantastic and really easy to use. Does anybody have a good source for online drum tracks?
