yes, they sound fantastic. great bang for the buck. The preamp can be switched off too which makes the Vamp2 a great effects processor for vocals, drums or anything else.

Can it be used in front / FX loop of a tube amp? How does it sound there?

It sounds best as an effects processor only in the effects loop. As a distortion and effects unit it sounds better in front of a clean amp or power amp.
