FX Loop Hum - Need Help ASAP!

Yesterday, no hum in the effects loop...today, hum. What the hell is the deal? I've tried about 6 cables, and they are all good...the hum is only in the fx, and it doesnt matter what I'm running thru it -wah, delay, whatever - it still hums like a whore! What the hell could the problem be?

What kind of amp / head / whatever are you running here?

Check your grounds and if it is a tube amp check your pre-amp tubes.

its a 5150 combo...and now it isnt humming...i took off the back and wiggled some tubes, maybe that did it. Its really weird.

The effects loop in my Mesa started to hum a little, too, out of the blue. I wiggled my cables around and that made it better. It was a Monster cable that was on its way out, as it died a couple days later. Stupid cables!! Took it back to GC and got a new one for free. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
