As much as it scrapes my taint to do so, I gotta agree with Ron. Lawrence L500XL's are about the highest output passive pickup you can get. The only problem is that they are very midrangey and light on the bass. If your amp can compensate (or you have an EQ at your disposal), they're the way to go.
I tend to recommend against the Duncan Distortion since they suck balls with my setup, but others swear by them. The output's there, the low end is there, but can your amp handle it?
Duncan Distortion, I have one in my Warlock and i tune down to B and it sounds focused and defined, very high output, and the Duncan Distortion really sounds good with mahogany bodied guitars so i highly recommend it
