  • Mesa Studio 22 settings needed.

I just got mine today. It is a non-EQ model and I think it might be a 1981 or a 1986. Can you post your favorite settings? Oh yea... this thing has plenty of gain on 4!!
Here is my 1st setting and it gives me a great clean and a vintage heavy crunch:
    Vol 4
    master 5
    treble 4
    bass 3
    mid 5
    reverb 3
    pres 7

Sounds like you have the same year as mine, except mine has the graphic EQ. My settings would be way different because of the EQ.
Here are some samples from the instruction manual for the .22+.

(The .22+ has an additional master volume to blend the two channels. I'll leave this setting out as it has no bearing on the regular .22 settings.)

Each is Volume, Master, Treble, Bass, Middle, Reverb, and Presence.

    Rock: 4 4 6.5 3.5 5 3 8 Clean Rhythm, Smokin Lead

    Rock: 7 6 7 3 3 2.5 7 Chunk Rhy, Screamin Lead

    Metal: 8 5 8 3 2 2 10 Grinding Rhy, Searing Lead

    Bedroom Metal: 10 1 10 2 0 3 8 Crunch Rhy, Insane Lead

    Blues: 4 7 6.5 4 4 3 8 Driving Rhy, Soulful Singing Lead

    Fusion (?):3.5 5 7 4 5 2.5 9 Funky Breathing Rhy, Articulate Lead

    Jazz: 3 4 5 5 5 3 7 Round Warm Rhy

    Country(!): 3 4 7 3 4 3.5 8 Claen Lead

Like I said, these settings are straight from a Studio .22 owners manual...so are the descriptions...don't blame me if they are lame!
