  • Chicago guys - amp repair?

Anyone have any preference between Midwest Music Menders and Deltronics?

I think my Marshall Jubilee needs looked at...the volume goes in and out.

Got me, I've not had a problem with my amp until lately. There used to be a place in NW Indiana called Amtech... they were the stuff back in the day. Sadly, they closed up shop. Let me know if/when you choose one. I need to have my preamp and processor looked at. (display issues)

I had a difficult time finding a place to bias my Marshall head (I'm doing it myself now). Have you gone to Marshalls web to find a local authorized repair center? If you find a good place, please let us know.

      Good luck.

I had 2 VHT 2150's retubed and biased by Mike McCullough at MAC Amps at:
        3622 N Ashland, Chicago (773)-248-7506

        He definitely knows his shit.

suberb. I was gonna go to deltronics, but he only uses JJ Tesla tubes. I will try mac out.

Now what tubes should I try?

If you could stand the 2 or 3 hour drive to Indianapolis, there's a place there that's real good.

              Uncle Albert's Amps.
The guy that runs it is Kevin, not sure of his last name. He's done amps for many big names. I don't want to quote exactly who, I don't want to get it wrong, but I'm pretty sure he's worked with Nugent, and the Rolling Stones.
