• Recommend a cheap, tiny bedroom amp?

Just looking for something to noodle with when the inspiration strikes. No headphones, although a jack would be a good option to have. Volume is not a priority, but great distortion tone is a must. Cheapola.

    Thanks.

The Marshall mini stacks are great, and cheap.

P.S.- When I said "tiny", I really meant it. Not looking for a small amp. Think "mini-me". Rockman-ish size or a little bigger, but with a speaker.

I stand by my Line 6 Spider and Behringer V-amp. For bedroom shred there's nothign better in my book.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Look for the Zoom Fire with the flip up speaker. It is the best stomp box sized amp I have ever heard. They show up on Ebay from time to time. It is a stomp box, effects processor, direct recording device and practice amp all in one. Must make sure you get the power supply with it because they eat batteries.

How about the mini fender strat. through the Zvex Nano, and out through a shower radio.

How much are those Zvex nano's? I heard the demo and it sounded pretty cool.

What about Roland Microcube? Could be worth checking out.

The Roland Micro Cube is nice, for about $125 new, with several amp models and effects included. It will run on 8 AA batteries, too.

For GREAT tone in a small amp, get a Tech 21 Trademark 10.

I have both of these amps, and like 'em both, but the Tech 21 is just fantastic, and has basically replaced my main rig for practice.

We had a few of the Roland Micro Cubes at work, and they sound great...they always sell really fast too. I even sold one to a guy who plugged an acoustic into it, and the tone was amazing still! Check it out for sure...

                              With speaker: Roland Micro-cube.

Without speaker: V-Amp2. The Savage Beast on that thing has insane gain. I got mine new from AMS for $139 (including headphones).
