Seymour Duncan EVH Pickup

Has anyone tried the Seymour Duncan EVH pickup yet? It's supposed to sound like the early Van Halen. I was thinking of putting one in my SLH2.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">it is a real good pup with a low output,old PAF vibe to it but $160 is a bit steep since the $80 screamin demon is so close to it tone wise [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]
they are both very close to one another trust me,i own and use both [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I've been thinking about the Screamin' demon and
the EVH. Glad to hear that the SDemon sounds as
good for half the price.
Which puts out the most low end?

another pup that is real good is the angus young bucker by gibson also a 10K paf type

IMO the evh is the best pickup i've used so far, its just an all rounder, brilliant work from SD.

best pickup ever. very bright and punchy, no muddy sounds at all. i have a splawn plexi and a silverface fender vibro champ, the 2 ends of the spectrum, and it sounds great through both.
