Flextone 1x12 vs 2x12

I think that i'm gonna sell my 5150 combo and get a flextone. I jump back and forth too much much between metal and blues, so I need more versatility. Anyways, I have some questions for folks that have one of these.
I dont gig, but I do jam with people every once in a while, but mostly just bedroom playin...So is there a big difference in headroom between the 1x12 and the 2x12? I am kinda worried that if I got the 1x12, it would be drowned out by drums or my buddies half stack. Any opinions?

You will need the 2 x 12 if you are going to compete with a drummer.

What about the 1x12 Flextone plus? You can hook up an extention cabinet with that one. It's the one I have but I haven't taken it past my bedroom. I did hook it up to my 5150 cabinet once, though. Man did that add some low end thump.

As long as you have 2 x 12's you should be fine regardless of whether they are in the same cabinet or housed seperately.

I agree. I have a 1x12 and it needs just a little more to compete with loud drums.
