I want to use a DMC Ground Control Pro and a G Major. Will I also need the DMC GCX Audio Switcher?

Re: Digital Music Ground Control Pro and G Major
And, if you are only using JUST the Gmajor or maybe a couple other processors that you would plan to use in line with the Gmajor, (not switching them in and out of that loop) and not looking for much more than controlling them, you could also get away with a cheaper controller like a Rocktron MidiMate.

Re: Digital Music Ground Control Pro and G Major
Hello:
What I'm looking for is a controller that will be easy to set up with the G Major and at the same time gives me a lot of capabilities to manage the G Major. I currently play thru a Voodoo Amps modded Peavey Triple XXX and have the G Major as my effects processor. I also have a BB 482 but I'm thinking seriuosly about selling it.

I agree with that. The rocktron midimate is a cheap but very durable and reliable controller with a lot of options.
You can use 6 program changes per button, but also work with 5 control changes per preset.
You don't need the GCX looper/switcher when you only have the gmajor, however, you could use it to switch your head and use it for loops in future expanses with other units/pedals.
You can also use the GCX looper with the midimate, but I'm not sure if you can use more than 5 loops in that situation, as the midimate only supports 5 cc's.

Re: Digital Music Ground Control Pro and G Major
The only way for you to switch the channels on a head by any midi pedal directly is if the head is midi enabled.
If not you have to use channel switching, this can be done by the GMajor, or something like the axess CFX4 or AC8. But you can also use the GCX looper for that.
you can then use the midi-pedal to control the channel switching on the GMajor, CFX4 or AC8

Re: Digital Music Ground Control Pro and G Major
Yep. I'm using the Roctron MidiMate for and Intellifex (and GMajor) and the CFX4 (to channel switch the CAE3+se) and I feel pretty well off as far as its potential for my needs..
I may get a looper from Axess to switch the VooduValve into the system.
BTW, Really nice to see some technically knowledgeable guys like CharvelJunkie and ElBastardo here. Keeps me interested in this place.

Re: Digital Music Ground Control Pro and G Major
Yes, I understand I switch amp channels with the G Major. Once I hook up the G Major with my Triple XXX, will I only need the DMC Ground Control Pro or the Rocktron Midimate for changing both amp channels and G Major effects?

The simple answer is yes. You could even use the old DMC Ground Control pedal.
