1960av - real v30's ?

One of them showed up locally but i don't know if there are real vintage 30's in it : look here marshall/celestions :o
and many sites list them as normal v30's

Any opinions on these cabs ?

yes, the 1960AV/BV is equipped with celestion vintage30 speakers. some call it V30 too, but it is the same speaker.

the cab sounds very "open" and a bit aggressive, but it depends on the head/amp you are using.

a friend of mine took his JCM900 dualreverb to our local musicstore and check the different cabs with his head.
he wanted to buy AV but after testing with his amp, he took the AC (w/greenbacks) because the amp sounded better with this cab. this doesn´t mean that the AV is badsounding!

if it is possibel for you, test the cabs with your amp.

i use a mixed cab with 2xG12H30 and 2xVintage30 with my 6100 anniversary and my 2550 silverjubilee heads.
