• What preamps can I use with a Carvin AE-185?

I just bought a Carvin AE-185 and am planning on possibly using it with our new church's praise band (if they need me they are in bad shape ).

Any suggestions for a preamp/modeler/pedal to go direct to the PA? I would be using mainly the piezo but also some clean electric. High gain would not be needed at all.

    Hey Fritz -

Have you thought about a Pod XT? I know the Vetta has some piezoacoustic presets for piezo equipped guitars... and they sound good on my Guild. For $299 new, it's a pretty good deal in my opinion.

I stood in for Will (Zamiale1 here on the JCF) at his church one sunday, used a Pod 2.0 direct and it was great.

That is probably the route that I will go since I already have the FBX board for my Vetta II. How do you think that PODxt would sound thru the Twisteramp? (Maybe you can give the Atomic Reactor a run for their money).
