Hey Guys - Help me choose my next amp!

Hey guys. I'm selling my 5150 soon, and I'm going to get a new amp. So I'm looking for something that is versatile. That can give me a really good clean and a real heavy distortion. I play metal, but I'm also making an alternative band a-la Incubus. So these are the amp's I have in mind. Please let me know if you know of other good amps that I might like.

Mesa Dual Rectifier
Line 6 Flextone
Line 6 HD147
Marshall JCM800/900
Peavey XXX
Maybe buy a Pod XT Pro and a rack system?

Which one would do the job just right? Thanks in advance.

Vetta 2 or the HD147 if you want total versatility.

Well guys...My budget is about $1,100 or so. I'm looking mainly to buy any of those amps used. JG, the Tremoverb sounds like a great idea. I hear they're discontinued?

Forget about mesa, they're no match for ENGL.

I've been looking at the ENGL Powerball's but they are pretty expensive. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] . I'm going to have about $1,100 max. to spend on a new amp.

Vetta I Head, which can be upgraded to Vetta II specs, and an FBV longboard will run you under $1100.
