Guitar Port?

Hey folks,
Any opinions on the Line 6 guitar port? I know there was a thread on it here awhile back, but damn if I can find it with the search option... [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I tried it once, and I wasn't at all impressed with the tone. Probably a great resource for learning guitar though, I didn't try it for very long. I just tried unsucessfully to dial in a decent tone, then my friend who works at West LA Music dialed in the best "metal" tone it had.

My firm belief is that guitar is not meant to be played through computer/stereo speakers. Period.

Hmm, o.k. I was just looking for something simple to get a decent direct recording tone. Maybe I'll just stick to the hassle of miking amps in my bedroom and covering them with pillows to keep the sound down. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Have you tried or thought having for recording Line6 POD/PODxt or Behringer V-Amp2?

I think the POD sounds better for direct recording than the Guitar Port.
