I've heard some good things about them. I like the idea of some great effects in a pedal as opposed to a rack unit, since I've gotten rid of my rack stuff Sound samples sound decent (don't really care for the preamp sounds) and they are fully computer editable via USB! Also MF has them on sale for $166. Anyone have any hands on experience?

Re: Anyone tried the Yamaha Magicstomp???
i was really interested in this when it came out.
i tried it at a local guitar center and found the distortion to be a bit weak, the time based effects were pretty good, but the main problem i had is that it needs to be hooked up to a computer to access all the functions which means that it is not suitable for any live situations.
